June 2010

June 2010 - We arrived in California and got unpacked as quickly as we could. Then we flew back to Aaron's Dartmouth Medical School Graduation and spent a week back in Hanover. We flew back to California to get settled and make our life here in San Diego. Enjoy!

In San Diego we got to see our dear friends Chad, Michelle and Olivia Van Someren before they left for three years in Okinawa. It was great for the girls to spend some time together and we enjoyed catching up with good friends.
Sorry, no unpacking pictures...too busy. Aaron's parents had wanted to come help but Aaron's Mom blew out her knee just before flying down to San Diego and had to have surgery and was very fortunate to be able to come to graduation so...no pictures, sorry!

Back in Hanover at our neighbor's wonderful house, here is Aaron ready to go for a photo shoot and graduation practice all dressed up in his regalia.

We enjoyed our last few days of hiking and being in our neighborhood one last time. Here's Grandpa Swenson and Kate on a hike near our home.

Mama and Kate along the Connecticut river...wasn't it yesterday that I took a picture with her here in a Baby Bjorn at just 10 months old?

Kate in front of the pond that was down the street from our house. We've ice skated on this pond and watched frogs jump and enjoy the sounds of woods and nature near our home.

Our favorite overlook of the Connecticut river with Vermont on the left and New Hampshire on the right in the distance.

Aaron and Tina all dressed up for the award ceremony prior to graduation.

We were treated to one of the best meals of our lives at the Inn at Weathersfield. This is our family that traveled across the country for graduation. Aaron's brother, Erik, my parents and his parents all made the trip to celebrate Aaron's completion of medical school.

Fun photos as we're waiting for graduation to begin.

Aaron and his brother, Erik, after graduation.

My brother and his family, Rebecca, Andrew and Elizabeth, all came to celebrate on the day of graduation. This is our branch of the Hansen family.

OK, one unpacking photo of the girls playing in ALL the paper that is involved in a move. So much paper and SO MANY boxes!

Aaron started working before graduation actually, but here he is post call and exhausted but happy to have his girls with him.

Kate talked constantly about planting a flower garden in our yard in California so here she is with her very own box for wildflowers that she got at the Anne of Green Gables gift shop on Prince Edward Island. I hope to send pictures of it full of flowers in a few months!
