April 2009

April & Happy Easter 2009
Kate is waiting and ready to do her Easter Egg Hunt in our yard.

She loved finding the eggs all over the yard.

Found one. And yes, we still had some snow in our yard!

Another cool present!

Auntie Bec and cousin Andrew visited along with Uncle Gregg for Easter weekend!

Kate all dressed in her Easter best!

Kate having fun swinging up in Burlington, Vermont on a cold spring day!

Kate and Jaegar Bowen playing at the playground.

Kate loves her gymnastics classes!

Having fun at gymnastics!

A nightly tradition is for Kate to dance to Jazz music - here are Daddy and Kate dancing to "In the Mood."

And a dip and she loves it!

Kate and I are waiting in the car for Daddy's bike race to come by our lookout spot!

There he goes! Yes, he did a bike race on literally the one year anniversary of last year's crash and finished safely having fun!

We had a really warm couple of days and Kate loved running through the sprinklers. One thing you have to love about New Hampshire is the quick change from snow sports to summer activities!

There she goes!

Kate and Daddy!

Too cute!

Kate's new bicycle complete with a basket to carry her doggie in amongst other important things.

Having fun riding her new bike!

There she goes!

February 2009

February 2009 - Another fun month of winter in New Hampshire! Enjoy the pictures.

Kate & Sadie playing in our front yard.

Kate is very proud of her big snowman!

Kate and Daddy dancing...so cute!

Adorable!
The next few pictures are of the Occum Pond Party that takes place in our friend's yard on a pond near Dartmouth. It is part of the Dartmouth winter carnival. You may not believe but there was a pretty big thaw the week leading up to it but thankfully it was a huge success! It took place on Valentine's Day so we had a fun family day that started with Kate's ski lessons (sorry, no pictures, I forgot the camera) and then to the pond party.

Yes, that is half the town of Hanover.

There's the other half. There are ice castles, sledding/tubing tracks, ice sculptures and many games for adults and kiddos.

Kate on one of the ice castle slides.

Kate and Daddy having a great time!

Kate getting ready to tube all by herself, she's a big girl!

Going backwards and loving it.

All done.

Kate got new paints for her easel for Valentine's Day.

Kate and Mom.

The snow tunneling continued this month and you can now go in 4 openings.

Here are two of them on the walkway. One goes all the way across and the other you have to make a left turn to go down the "hallway" to a snow fort at the edge of the driveway.

January 2009

January 2009 - Of course we start the new year with ... SNOW!

Kate made her very first snowman. He was a little small but she loved it nonetheless.
Kate has taken up a new nightly tradition, she must dance with Mom, Dad or herself alone. She usually chooses a jazz song like 'Jumpin Jive' or 'In the Mood.' Too cute!

Kate loves her rocking horse from Christmas and is a regular cowgirl when she rides.

Kate and Daddy in the snow!

Kate and Mom with the little snowman!

Kate, Sadie and Mom playing in the snow!

Kate LOVES chocolate (we have NO idea where she gets that from..ha ha). Here's enjoying a chocolate chip cookie right out of the oven.

This is a cabin that is on an island in the Connecticut River that Dartmouth owns very close to our house. On Tina's birthday we ventured with snowshoes out onto the ice of the river to cross over to the island to check it out.

Yes, they are in the middle of the inlet to the river just over the hill from our house.

Snack time!

Kate and Daddy building a snow fort. You'll see that this fort with the cave then becomes a tunnel with several openings and quite the tunneling system as winter continues with more snow!
Daddy and Kate ... So cute!

Hard work!
